Frequently asked questions

Is it a separate product?

No. Mobile service is a switch in Settings on any Workshop Hub plan. Leave it off if you only work from a workshop, or turn it on if you do both.

How is the per-km fee worked out?

We measure from your base to the customer’s address and show it as approx. You can change the km or the fee on any job.

Is my location shared all day?

No. Live tracking only runs from when you tap On my way until you arrive, and only if the shop has switched it on.

Do On my way texts cost extra?

Texts use your SMS credits, the same as any other customer text.

What if I lose signal?

The mechanic app keeps your jobs on the phone. Checklists, notes and photos save on the phone and send when you’re back in range.
