When the hoist is up and the phone rings out, the caller often books the next shop that answers. Missed-call text back sends an automatic text from your workshop number with your booking link, so the enquiry is not left on voicemail.

It is included on Pro+. Texts use your prepaid SMS credits. It works with VoIP and cloud phone systems — not ordinary mobiles or landlines yet.

How missed-call text back works

Connect a supported VoIP or cloud phone system in Settings. When a call is missed, Workshop Hub texts the caller from your workshop number and includes your online booking link so they can pick a time without waiting for a callback.

It does not replace answering the phone, and it does not work with a standard mobile or landline on its own. If you use the optional AI Receptionist add-on, that answers the call instead — missed-call text back is for shops that want a fast SMS when nobody picks up.

Sellers ringing around for a roadworthy or safety certificate often book whoever replies first.
After-hours calls still get a text with a booking link instead of a dead line.

What it does not do

It does not answer the call or take a verbal booking. It sends a text after a miss.

It does not work yet with ordinary mobile phones or PSTN landlines. You need a VoIP or cloud phone system Workshop Hub can connect to.

SMS credits apply, the same as other customer texts on Shop and Pro+.

Which plan includes missed-call text back?

Pro+ at $189 AUD a month + GST. Solo and Shop do not include it.

Does it work with my mobile phone?

Not yet. It is for VoIP and cloud phone systems. Ordinary mobiles and landlines are not supported today.

Do the texts cost extra?

They use your prepaid SMS credits, the same as other customer texts.

Is this the same as the AI Receptionist?

No. The AI Receptionist is an optional Pro+ add-on ($119 a month + GST) that answers calls you cannot get to. Missed-call text back is included in Pro+ and sends a text after a miss. The savings calculator skips text back when the AI Receptionist is switched on, because those calls are answered instead.
